Here’s an introduction trailer for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The game is using the Portal 2 engine, will have more customization, and more weapons. It will also support cross-platform play between the PC, Mac and PS3. Gave Newell is reported to be asking Microsoft to open up its Xbox Live Platform so they could include it with the other system’s, but I just don’t see them doing it. Good news for PS3 users is that there will be a bevy of controller options, with the Dualshock 3, PS Move, and a keyboard+mouse all being supported for your shooting experience.
I think it would be really cool for Microsoft to at least bend their rule towards this one game, so that the age-old question could finally be answered. Which console has the best FPS gamers? Let’s hope it can be answered when Counter-Strike: Global Offensive releases early next year.
